Michael’s 14+ years in the IT industry has been focused on data protection, disaster recovery, data archival, systems/storage administration, and now virtualization management. Michael joined Vizioncore/Quest Software in April 2009, prior to that Michael worked at EMC, Silicon Laboratories, Dell, and the U.S. Army. Michael grew tired of suburb life and moved about a year ago to near downtown Austin, TX and has been known to host many social engagements from his rooftop terrace.

Will Johnson who co-chaired the group has taken a job offer in California. If you have ever attended any of our meetings you will no doubt remember him filming the event and interviewing folks. If you go back to previous post on our site, you will see the videos he produced giving people a taste of what was going on at the meetings. Myself and Jerome Smith are still VMUG leaders and we have had a couple new faces that have stepped up and volunteered to help. The new group will be starting to organize the next meeting shortly.

    I would like to personally thank Will for the countless hours of time he volunteered toward our local VMUG and wish Will the best of luck in his new job.
